Your cozy spring guide to homemaking

Letter from Melissa…

March is here- yay! – and with it comes that in-between feeling of winter hanging on, but glimpses of spring starting to show up if you’re paying attention. It’s the perfect time to reset a bit after the slower pace of winter and bring some fresh energy into our homes.

For me, that looks like opening a window (even if it’s just for a few minutes), clearing off surfaces that somehow collected way too much stuff, and swapping out a few seasonal touches to brighten up the space. I’m a big believer that a tidy, welcoming room sets the tone for how the whole house feels—and honestly, how I feel too.

This month, let’s focus on simplifying and resetting—not a big overhaul, just small shifts that make a real difference. The living room is a great place to start since it’s where so much life happens. A decluttered space, a candle burning, a cozy blanket folded over the arm of the sofa—it’s those little things that make home feel like home.

Warmly, Melissa

Each month we’re focusing on a different area of your home to get it decluttered. The goal is to spend 15 minutes each day decluttering something. Every little bit helps! March Bucket List

Early Spring Days

March can feel a bit in-between. Winter isn’t quite gone, but spring hasn’t fully arrived. Some days are sunny and mild, others are cold and gray. It’s easy to feel stuck waiting for better weather—but this is exactly why home matters.

The little things we do every day make a difference. Cooking dinner, wiping down the counters, opening a window when the sun comes out—these small routines bring a sense of order and care to our spaces. Taking time to check in with a friend, write a quick note, or sit down to talk with your family can brighten an ordinary day.

A little effort goes a long way, and how we care for our home shapes how we feel about these everyday moments. And that’s always worth it.
