May 2026 Homemaker’s Notebook: Free Printable
May always feels like a turning point in the year. The days are warmer, the calendar starts filling up, gardens begin to need more attention, and home life begins shifting toward summer little by little. Although here in the mountains of Kentucky, the last few days have been chilly and I’ve had to wear a sweater during the day!

This is the time of year when I start thinking about what needs to be finished, what needs to be simplified, and what kind of rhythm I want our home to have as the season changes. May really ramps up as far as my schedule – which is crazy because I’ve had one of the busiest years I can remember so far – and I stay pretty busy.
There’s something about May that makes me want to tend what’s already growing — in the garden, in our routines, and in the life we’re building at home. If you’ve been craving a little more order before summer begins, a place to gather your thoughts, or a simple way to keep up with home and life this month, the May Homemaker’s Notebook is here to help.
What Is the Homemaker’s Notebook?
The Homemaker’s Notebook is a monthly printable planner designed to help you care for your home with more intention.
It includes practical pages for planning, homemaking, routines, and personal reflection, all in one place. You can print the whole notebook or just the pages you know you’ll actually use. Slip them into a binder, keep them in a folder, or use them however works best for your season of life.
This is meant to be helpful, not overwhelming.

How I Recommend Using This Notebook
You do not need to use every page, but you can if you want to! Print the pages that fit your life right now and leave the rest.
Some months you may need the weekly planning pages the most. In other months, you may lean more heavily on the tending list, daily agenda pages, or Bible study pages.
There’s no right way to use it. For May, I’d start here:
- Begin with the Monthly Tending List and write down what matters most before summer begins.
- Use the weekly prep pages to think ahead about meals, errands, appointments, church activities, garden tasks, and homemaking priorities.
- Choose one or two routines to steady this month instead of trying to fix everything at once.
- Use the weekly pages to create a simple rhythm for your mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
- Make a short list of what needs to be finished before the slower days of summer arrive.
May can feel full in a different way. It’s not always as hectic as the holidays or the start of a school year, but there are often end-of-season activities, outdoor projects, garden tasks, family plans, and home responsibilities all happening at the same time.
Having one place to gather your plans, priorities, and routines can help you feel a little less scattered and a little more prepared.
A Good Month to Tend What Matters
May is such a good month to pay attention to the little things that make a home feel steady, cared for, and ready for the next season.
This is the time of year when I start thinking about simple meals, clean counters, fresh sheets, tidy porches, garden plans, and routines that make home feel easier to enjoy.
It’s also a good month to notice what has been working — and what hasn’t.
Maybe your mornings need a little more structure. Maybe your evenings need to slow down. Maybe your kitchen needs a small reset before summer snacks and quick meals take over. Maybe your home just needs a few quiet, steady habits to help everything feel more manageable again.
May is a good month to tend your home gently, make small decisions, and prepare for the season ahead with a little more peace. That’s what this notebook is for.
Printing Tips
I always think printables are more enjoyable to use when they’re printed clearly and on nice paper. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but good supplies really do make a difference if you use printables often.
My Favorite Printer
If you print a lot at home, having a dependable printer is worth it. I love using a printer that gives beautiful results without constantly needing more ink.
Epson EcoTank ET-2720 Wireless Color All-in-One Supertank Printer (Scanner + Copier)
My Favorite Paper
I use this paper almost exclusively. It’s the nicest all-purpose paper I’ve ever come across, and it makes printables feel extra crisp and clean.
