How to Boil Eggs in Your Instant Pot
Step #1: Wash and dry your eggs, if desired.
Step #2: Add 1 cup water to pot.
Step #3: Place the eggs in one layer, in the bottom of the pot, making sure to not stack them on top of each other.
Step #4: Place your Instant Pot on manual/high pressure and set the timer for 5 minutes. It will take about 5 minutes to pressurize and then it will start the 5-minute cooking countdown.
Step #5: Let the pot naturally release for 5 minutes before manually releasing and removing the eggs.
Step #6: Fill a bowl big enough to hold the eggs, with water and some ice.
Step #7: Immediately place the eggs from the instant pot into the cold water. Leave for 10 minutes. Enjoy!
4 Tips for Making Hard-Boiled Eggs in the Instant Pot
#1: I used a 6-quart Instant Pot. You may need to decrease or increase the number of eggs if you have a smaller or larger instant pot.
#2: The eggs do not need to be submerged in water. It just has to be halfway up the eggs.
#3: An ice bath is one of the most effective methods to ensure that the eggs peel readily after cooking. However, a teaspoon of baking soda added to the cooking water may also help.
#4: Fresh eggs do not peel well, regardless of how you prepare them.
