March Bucket List: Savoring the Simple Things at Home
March can be an odd little month. Winter hasn’t quite let go, but spring is trying to break through. I have daffodils starting to pop up!! Some days you’re still wrapped in a blanket with a hot cup of tea (or sitting by the fire like me), and other days the sun streams through the windows just enough to remind you that brighter days are coming.
That’s why I created this March Bucket List—to help you notice the little things, enjoy the changing season, and create meaningful moments right where you are. Because really, it’s the simple everyday things that mean the most when it comes to a fulfilling life.

Sometimes, the days blur together. We keep up with our routines, we take care of the home, but we forget to enjoy it. This printable list isn’t about adding more to your to do list—my hope is that it will help you enjoy you life at home just a little bit more. Each idea on this list is simple, doable, and designed to bring joy to your everyday life.
March Bucket List for Homemakers
Let’s take a closer look at the cozy, creative, and intentional ideas inside the March bucket list:
1. Wash the Windows
A practical task that invites the light back in. Clean windows are one of the simplest ways to make your space feel fresh and new.
2. Bring Home Grocery Store Flowers
You don’t need a fancy bouquet. A $5 bundle of daisies or tulips can completely change the feel of your kitchen table.
3. Write a Handwritten Note to a Friend
A small gesture with a big impact. Take five minutes to brighten someone’s day.
4. Take 30 Minutes to Journal Outside
Let your thoughts stretch with the breeze. Whether you’re on the porch or sitting by a sunny window, this small pause is worth it.
5. Celebrate the Sabbath with a Special Meal
Use Friday as a preparation day and set the table with intention. Rest, good food, and unhurried time with loved ones is always worth the effort.
6. Start Seeds Indoors for a Summer Garden
March is the perfect time to plant hope for the months ahead. A few pots on the windowsill are all you need to begin.
7. Make a Wish
Whimsical and childlike—but powerful. You don’t have to share it. Just make one.
8. Have a Family Game Night with Snacks
Easy, fun, and a great way to connect without screens. Keep it low-key and full of laughter.
9. Drink Hot Tea
Pick a quiet moment and sip something warm. Bonus points for adding honey and sitting down while you do it.
10. Bake Homemade Bread
Whether it’s a quick loaf or a slow rise, this simple act fills the home with comfort and warmth.
11. Celebrate Pi Day on March 14
It’s the perfect excuse to bake a pie—or pick one up—and enjoy a treat just because.
12. Look for Four Leaf Clovers
Even if you don’t find one, the act of slowing down and looking is what counts.
13. Hang Laundry on a Clothesline
If the weather allows, give it a try. There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh air in clean linens.
