This simple salt dough craft is a fun activity to do with your toddler or young child. As part of our Christmas ADVENTures in Prophecy, you can tie this craft together with your daily readings and read the following Bible verses:

Jesus’ hands and feet were pierced when they hung Him on the cross. John 20:27

Jesus died on the cross because of God’s love for us. John 3:16

Salt Dough “Hands Pierced” Christmas Ornament

Trace your child’s hand onto the dough and cut out the shape with a knife.

Allow the ornament to dry. Attach a looped ribbon or paper clip to the back. Paint a red heart in the palm of the hand and below it write: John 20:27

You can coat the ornament in clear varnish or clear nail polish once everything is dry and hang on your tree!
