I made this recipe tonight because it looked so easy and I had all the ingredients on hand. This is my new favorite easy bean dip recipe. Hands down. It’s so good! Today was one of those days where I just wanted something easy. I was hungry. I knew my kids were hungry and no one felt like cooking an elaborate meal.

It was a snack kind of day. With just a few ingredients, you can whip up this warm bean dip fast.

The recipe for this black bean dip couldn’t be any simpler. Just throw everything in a food processor and then serve with tortilla chips or crackers. It’s the perfect appetizer to bring to a party, and it will surely be a hit!

Last year, I was looking forward to our annual Super Bowl party. I never know what to bring, but it’s always something that I really enjoy eating. When my brother-in-law called and asked for suggestions for his game-day menu, I told him about this easy bean dip recipe. He seemed hesitant at first so he said he would try it out in case people didn’t like the idea of beans in their dip. So we made sure that there were plenty of other snacks on the table just in case!

But, everyone loved it! (I wasn’t surprised!!) The best part is that all you need is it’s just so simple to make.

What to Serve with this Easy Black Bean Dip Recipe

This easy bean dip recipe is seasoned with taco seasoning so I recommend serving it with your favorite tortilla chips or multi-grain chips like I did. Pita chips or pretzels would also be good.

You can serve the easy bean dip as a snack, appetizer, or even as a light meal. It would also make a great side dish on your Taco Tuesday night or with any Mexican-themed meal.

  • 1 block cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Cook Time 15 minutes
Additional Time 25 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 2/3 cups butter, softened
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 12 whole pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease muffin tins well. If you don't these muffins will stick.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, and chopped pecans.
  4. In another bowl, beat the butter and eggs together.
  5. Stir in dry ingredients just until combined. Don't over mix.
  6. Spoon batter into muffin tins until about 2/3 full.
  7. Top with a whole pecan piece.
  8. Bake for 15 - 17 minutes for regular size muffins and for about 13 minutes for mini muffins.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a bit. Run a knife around the edges of each muffin to release it from the muffin tin.
